 How Tuffie's Dog Toys Are Made

 The Tuff Scale

All toys are not created equal. That's why we use the Tuff Scale! This scale is designed to give you an insight into just how tough these toys really are. Some dogs are rougher and can only have the toughest toys ranked 8 and above. Other dogs are not so rough, or may be older or smaller and their chewing habits are a little different, so they can use toys marked 5 and above.

The Scale Defined:

  1. The cheap plush toy
  2. The usual squeaking rubber toy
  3. Fragile 'Miniature Teacup Chihuahua' toy
  4. Fake knock-off sewn nylon toys that claim to be 'rugged'
  5. (This is where the Tuffie's range starts) Small dog tough
  6. Created for interactive play
  7. A really tough dog toy
  8. Long lasting and really tough
  9. Extremely tough - next to unbreakable
  10. Mega tough - without a doubt the toughest

 

 Care Instructions

Wash your Tuffie's dog toy by running under water and scrubbing soiled areas. Do NOT machine dry.

Over time this toy will start to show wear. As your pet plays with the toy it will begin to wear down the different layers of the toy and may loosen or remove pieces. This is normal. Remove loose threads to avoid ingestion. If your animal reaches the white stuffed core of the toy discard immediately.

The squeakers are attached to the toy with protective pouches. This feature provides a safe window to remove the toy from your pet should it reach the core. Do not let your pet play with this toy unsupervised, and do not allow your pet to remove or ingest any part of the toy including squeakers.
